Oatmeal spiced chocolate chip cookies!
This recipes is one I grew up eating. My mom made these all the time! I have tweaked it over the years mostly out of laziness but it’s still so yummy!

1/4 tsp clove
2 tsp Vanilla extract
4 tbsp milk
2 cups oatmeal

Slowly add in the milk.
Add oatmeal and flour.
Scrape down the sides and mix again.
Add in chocolate chips.
Scoop out 1-2 tbsp of dough onto baking sheet.
Bake for 15 min. The edges of the cookies should be lightly golden brown. If not, cook for a few more minutes.
Remove from oven and let them rest for a few minutes before enjoying!

Homemade Hot Chocolate
I am not a big chocolate person so this is not a very chocolaty hot chocolate, and is similar to a warm chocolate milk.
Ingredients:
6 cups milk
1 cup sugar plus more to taste
1/4 cup cocoa powder plus more to taste

Directions:
Pour milk into a pan and heat it over medium low heat.
Once the milk is warm, add sugar and cocoa powder in.
Whisk till combined.
I recommend starting to taste at this time. If not sweet enough, add sugar a few tablespoons at a time until you reach your desired sweetness. Likewise, if you would like it more chocolaty or it is too sweet, add cocoa powder 1 tbsp at a time till you reach your desired chocolate level. Cocoa powder is bitter and it will help cut the sweetness if it is too sweet.
Turn up the heat to medium until the milk is nice and steamy. Try not to boil your milk as that will burn it to the bottom of the pan.
Optional: feel free to add marshmallows, or candy canes or anything else you would like to your cocoa.
