This dinner roll recipe is quick, easy, and no added sugar!! It makes soft, fluffy dinner rolls.

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp active dry yeast

2 tsp salt

2 Tbsp softened butter

2 cups warm water

4 3/4c-51/4 c flour

For brushing the rolls:

4 Tbsp melted butter

4 crushed garlic cloves (optional)

I recommend putting the garlic and butter together in a pan when melting the butter to let the garlic infused into the butter. Be watchful so you do not burn the garlic. I like a light brown color to the garlic before I brush the rolls with it. The garlic will continue to brown on top of the rolls as they bake.

Directions:

Place yeast, salt, and butter into a bowl.

Pour warm water into the bowl and stir together.

Add 4 c of flour and stir together.

Continue to add flour 1/4 c at a time until you reach a soft tacky dough. NOTE: the dough should not be coming off on your finger. If it does, you need more flour.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees

Form the dough into whatever shape you want! I prefer to knot the rolls, but these can be made into bread sticks, normal rolls, knots, figure eights, or twists. I have not tried to make a loaf out of this recipe yet, if you choose to do so, the cook time will be longer.

Let rise for 30 min till they are light and fluffy.

Brush the rolls lightly with butter or garlic butter.

Bake for 12-15 min till golden brown.

Once done. pull them out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Enjoy!!

I prefer mixing my dough in glass bowls.

I have gotten rid of all my plastic measuring cups and spoons. I use stainless steel ones instead.

I use organic, unbleached cotton where I can. Especially when it comes to covering our food.
