Biscuit Recipe

Ingredients:

1/3 c butter

1 3/4 – 2 1/4c flour

2 1/2 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp salt

3/4 c milk

Optional: add 1/2 c shredded cheese for cheesy biscuits

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Put 1 3/4c flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the butter and cut into the flour mixture till its in small crumbles.

Add milk and mix together. The dough should be soft but not sticking to everything. Add more flour if needed.

Roll the dough on a floured surface till 1/2 inch thick.

Cut out whatever shape biscuits you want.

Gather up the dough into a ball and squish back together then roll it out again. Continue this till all the dough is gone.

Bake on a baking sheet or stone for 10-12 min till golden brown.

Don’t have baking powder?? a sprinkle of baking soda will work too. Do not add any more than 1/4 tsp baking soda or it will taste like baking soda.
